Poe’s Law
If you’ve never heard of it, there’s a “law” out there called Poe’s Law which states:
Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is uttrerly [sic] impossible to parody a Creationist in such a way that someone won’t mistake for the genuine article. (link)
Which brings us to today’s link. Props to Annie who alerted us to this article over twitter.
People are just crazy. It’s unfortunate that so many of them reside in the fundamentalist sector.
At least being able to lump so many of them in a group like “fundamentalists” makes it easier to keep track of them. Sheesh, racism is so 1960’s. I’m tired of it. :-(
Lol, those comments were a riot. I can’t help but wonder how many of the commenters were “in on the gag” and just playing the part of crazed liberal, just to keep the ball rolling.
As a parody site though they do seem to go quite a bit over the top, That Michelle Obama entry was the tamest thing on the website. I can’t believe it gets so many comments without people seeming to realize the parody.
