Two years ago, Robin and I were taken for $1500 by a guy who used our number to buy Wal-Mart gift cards in Mobile, Alabama (more than a thousand miles from our home).

We got our money back from our bank two weeks later, but it made for a rough month. I’m guessing the bank went after Wal-Mart; actually Wal-Mart was quite forthcoming on the whole matter.

We called the Mobile Police Department to file a report, but we never heard back after submitting the story so we don’t know what eventually happened.

I’m speaking out of turn, but I just thought I’d throw out this suggestion. Try putting :end on it’s own line. I have not had the opportunity to test my theory before making my suggestion, because I’m having difficulty getting Postie to load on my WPMU install…

I watched the local news last night and they ran a report about failing to get stimulus money for the Peachtree St street car. I love how they try to blame the city and our congressional delegation for mismanagement and not getting the money for us when actually there’s this guy who lives in a big mansion on W. Paces Ferry who’s been obstructing Atlanta’s growth since before I moved to Georgia. Liberal media my foot.

Chris: I’m not that worried about having someone swipe my data. If someone has nefarious purposes in mind, there are easier ways to get info on me than trying to reassemble 10 year old hard drives.
